what is a journey group?
Immanuel Church's Young Adults are currently meeting in peer oriented small groups called "Journey Groups". They meet weekly either at church or in a home. The goal of the journey groups is to find a safe place to belong and grow spiritually and with other young adults.

yayS - YOUNG ADULT YOUNGS (ages 18-23) - They meet SUNDAYS @ 10:30 a.m. in room 127 at immanuel churchYAYs are usually in college, either abroad or local. Some young adults at this age have chosen to work instead of go to college or are doing both. YAYs are awesome and have a lot of energy and ideas to bring to the table! They are sometimes still asking a lot of questions about life and may still be wrestling with faith and identity.

YAMS - YOUNG ADULT MIDDLES (AGES 24-29) - they meet thursdays @ 7:00-9:00 pm at the scott houseYAMs are post-college and may be in Grad school or have entered the work force. YAMs are sifting through life's bigger questions and beginning to figure out what their careers might be. They are most likely seeking intimate friendships and relationships and are ready to go deeper in community.

YAPS - young adult professionals/parents (ages 30-35) - They meet on saturdays @ 11:00 am-1:00 pm at the coughlin houseYAPs are establishing their longer term careers and are most likely working professionals and/or parents. At this stage in life, more young adults are thinking about getting married, or are married, but many are still single. YAPs are a bit more settled in life and less "in flux". Some are buying houses. They have established relationships but generally feel very busy and burdened by work and/or parenting and are longing for deeper connection with others.
