what is a retreat?

To take a retreat means pulling away from normal everyday life and spending extended time with God. Taking a Retreat takes faith that we can leave the busyness of our lives, the agendas, the "to do" lists, go away and trust that God will replenish your soul. If you need this, sign up below to register for the Young Adult Retreat.

The theme of our Retreat is BE[COME]. Spiritual formation begins with accepting Jesus' invitation to come and be. In Matthew, it is recorded that Jesus says,
“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

Spiritual formation leads to transformation.
Only when we come and be, can we be in a state of becoming (being transformed).
